I just recently bought a new laptop, Satellite A135-S4527 and I download the
video screensaver (international) from Microsoft.com. Now, when I install it,
it gives me this wish-wash:

Instillation interrupted before Microsoft Video Screensaver could be
installed. You need to restart the installer to try again

Even worse it takes me the validation website to show which operating
systems are applicable for validation. My Operating System is Vista, and it
is a Valid and Genuine Vista!:

there anything I can do to getting this working?

Thanks

The Microsoft Video Screensaver is only compatible with
Windows XP and not Windows Vista.
Please review the Operating System Requirements:

Can you give me another piece of advice? Cause it did not work. Why do I
still get:

Instillation interrupted before Microsoft Video Screensaver could be
installed. You need to restart the installer to try again

That screensaver only works with XP. It does not work on Vista. You cannot
install it on Vista. There is no other advice.

This is what Carey is telling you.

This is described on the Microsoft website:

Maybe Microsoft will release a Vista version, sometime in future.

Hi Mulciber,

Since the screensaver you have will not work for Vista, you can find
some good free ones for Vista at this site.

'WinCustomize: Screen Savers Gallery'

Hope this helps some,
Shawn
