I now work exclusively in this "Temporary account" mode in Windows 8, because it appears to be incapable of doing anything else. Following a nights work last week, I logged out and re-logged in to discover that Windows 8 had previously logged me in as "Temporary" and deleted my nights work upon logging out.
After attempts to upgrade to 8.1, my (Sony Vaio) computer froze and had to be re-imaged back to the version of Windows 8 that was originally on the machine.
Thank you Microsoft for truly the worst computing experience of my life. An unasked-for upgrade adding features nobody wants and get in the way that hamper productivity and force me to relearn how to use a computer. Cant you guys get the message that all your users want from an OS is stability??
My next machine will be an Apple.
