I have just got a new reconditioned comp, pent 4, win xp, ie6, which has all

sofware enabled, but it won't start, saying: "error: keyboard error, and
some

times, plug n play error".

Does any one have an idea why this would please?

A good starting point would be to post your question in
a WinXP newsgroup, not in a server newsgroup.

Try a different keyboard after verifying you have the keyboard plugged
into the correct location.
If it is PS2, sometimes it is interchangeable with the mouse and
sometimes not.

Otherwise since this is a server newsgroup, post details in a Windows
XP newsgroup:

Sometimes you can get a bent pin on a ps2 keyboard. Otherwise the ps2 plug
might be damaged from people pulling it at too strongly, in which case you
should be able to use a usb keyboard instead.

Thanks Pegasus! (I 've just found my post. That's why I've taken so long to
reply-have'nt got he Internet yet )
