Hello,

I've read a few techniques on how to move the My Pictures. Regedit,
tweakui, etc. I've done this but I think I'm missing something. Either
moving My Pictures doesn't do what I'd expect it to, or I'm doing
something wrong.

I expected to be able to click on My Documents, see My Pictures folder
and click on it to be taken to my new target folder. In this case it
would be E:\Pictures. However, the My Pictures folder in My Documents
is no longer there. I've checked the registry and the user shell is
pointing to the correct place (E:\Pictures). I just don't get what use
that is to me? What is the function of the "special folder"? As best
as I can tell I have not changed the functionality at all. I simply
have a folder on my E:\ drive that contains my pictures. I don't need
to use the registry or tweakui in order to create a new folder...

thanks!

Anything calling the special folder MyPictures will go to e:\pictures.

The target of the special folder "My Pictures" is what you changed, not the
link inside My Documents.

Yeah it seems pointless. I usually move the whole My Documents folder.

Mark Dormer
