Seen this problem in previous posts but none of the fixes that work for some
are working for me...such as indexing, file types, checking to search file
contents. Have no problem with XP but Vista is useless. When I need to search
folder contents for words, the only results I get are from .pdf files or
words in a title. My .rtf and .wps files are indexed. I read the SP1 download
was supposed to fix Vista search problems, but no such luck. Please help
resolve this!

Thanks, but my file extensions are common ones in Windows and are checked in
the indexing. The strange thing is even when I downloaded the Google Desktop
search, it came up with the same results. These are files I've searched in
for years using XP. This is just crazy.
