I've recently encountered a problem trying to copy files to a CD or DVD.
The error message states "Windows encountered a problem copying file", and
give me a choice to Retry, Skip, or Cancel.
Of course nothing works, so I have to cancel.
I know my media is new. I know the drive works, because I created recovery
discs with it when I got this computer months ago. In the last week I've
re-installed everything from the recovery discs twice, hoping that would
re-set everything to factory specs. No luck.
I'm pretty sure I've made other CDs with this machine in the last few
months, but even if not, I did create the recovery discs on DVD-R.
I'm not opposed to using third-party software, but I don't think I should
have to.
What am I doing wrong? What setting is wrong?
Thanks,
Ducati
