Hey

I'm having trouble configuring VPN from my winXPpro(sp2) machine to my
dad's winXP machine.

In the VPN configurfation window on my machine I entered these values
(values from my dad's computer):
- IP
- Subnet
- Default Gateway

My dad's computer is a laptop and he has a wireless network at home.

When I testes this. His computer was switched on and connected to the
Internet

any suggestions on how to fix this?

Are those values the ones provided from your dad's wireless router?

If so, it won't work.

What does that system have to expose it to, and identify it on, the
internet?

Is there, for example, a DDNS client, and are the VPN ports open and is VPN
passthrough enabled on both routers?

What happens?

What are you actually trying to accomplish? If you're really looking for
remote desktop or administration, there are better ways.

I'm trying to perform remote administration of my dad's computer

I'm not sure about the details you mentioned. I have to check them out.
