printing email and webpages

ScruffyJohn

when my father prints notes from outlook express, the header comes out ok.
But the body of the note contains HTML tags.

We also tried print preview of an Web page.... we got nothing but HTML coded
tags.
He's running Windows XP

Thought it might be the print driver, so we installed a totally different
print driver (Canon, instead of HP).
Then we did print preview of the web page... it too produced nothing but
html tags.....

Kind of concluding it is not a print driver issue, Since the results (html
tags being printed)

Note, we already looked in the Folder Options dialog (File Types tab) to
look for the "TMP" entry... he does not have it... so it is not that issue.

Any Third-party toolbars installed?, if there is Disable or Uninstall then
try printing and see if the issue will resolve.
Go to the file >> page Set up and delete the header, does this help?.

Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Tabs:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.

What Anti-virus you have installed?.

install Firefox:

I'll have him try it,
how does this effect the body of emails printing HTML?
He is using the McAfee program for antivirus.

Set Program Access and Defaults: Set Internet Explorer as the default
browser.

I could have him do that, but
1- that button is disabled on my machine, more than likely it will be on his
machine too
2- how does that effect email printing html tags (shown below)?

Go to Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs | Set Program Access and
Defaults.
Set IE as the default browser.

I have no idea why it works, but it often does.
