Hi,

Please bear with me while I try my best to explain.

I have an issue with a PC where I open (or any account) the printer
pref box. Down the left side of the pref box is a picture of the
printer which gets updated when you add/remove trays and other
options. When I open this box on my (working) PC the actual options
(copies, sided etc.) start about 1cm to the right of the picture and
all options fit within the pref box. Now when I open this on the PC
with the issue, the options start about 4cm away from the pic to the
right and because of this, 3cm's of options on the right just get cut
off the edge of the pref box.

Sorry that is as best as I can put it. This is a Sharp multifunction
ARC260M networked device. I have removed the printer and drivers from
the PC and re-added/re-downloaded the drivers from the server. Not
account specific, seems to be PC specific. I have re-installed video
drivers. Not a resolution issue as far as I can see, it all changes
in proportion.

Any ideas?

Isn't there a option in printer preferences . Probably where you choose
paper size that says scale to fit?

Try this. Open Display Properties, Settings tab, Advanced button,
change the DPI setting to "Normal size".

This is the only place I've seen that makes text overflow the borders in
similar fixed-sized windows. If that doesn't do it, a complete removal
of the printer software, then reinstall might help.

Thanks for the replies. Bud - this is not a print out, this is only
looking at the printer preferences options box before any print job is
even selected. Sorry if I was too vague.

Elmo, you have managed to decode my ramblings and I will give this a
try and let you know. The PC is a few hundred km's away and the user
doesn't always answer the phone or return emails

Elmo, thanks. I have managed to recreate the issue on my PC by
setting the DPI setting higher and then changing resolution to
1280x1204.

User still hasn't got back to me though but I'll bet she (or someone)
has changed her settings.
