Silly Sam

It all started when I tried to access Frontpage and got a message
stating "preparing to install". Tried to work around it several times
and then gave up and went to add/remove software. I couldn't remove
it. I restarted to safe mode and then removed Frontpage from my
computer.

Restarted and tried to reinstall and NO. I go this message"

The windows installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if
you are running windows in safe mode (no I am not) or if the windows
installer is not correctly installed. Contact your suppor personnel
for assistance""""

The Microsoft Word started this problem, then Outlook express.

What virus or malware is doing this?

Silly Sam !

Well, its not a virus or malware. When you start Frontpage for the
first time, it will install various componets which is very common
with Microsoft Office Products.

For the error message which you are getting try the following
steps

1. Click Start, and then click Run.

2. In the Open box, type cmd, and then click OK.

3. At the command prompt, type the command msiexec.exe /unregister and
then
press ENTER.

4. Type command msiexec /regserver, and then press ENTER.

5. Restart the computer.

Once you get back to the desktop, open Frontpage and let the
installation run. Once it gets completed frontpage will open.

Let us know if you need further help on this.
