Prediction spelling / text entry. How do you switch it off?

Infuriating prediction spelling - it suddenly appeared on my Samsung B7330 with Windows Mibile 6.5 and I can't switch it off. It affects all text entry including Calendar. Nothing in the Samsung manual so I presume it's a feature of Windows. There's a menu for Alt-key settings but my problem isn't included.
