Powersave Mode

I just replaced my Geforce 3 video card with a Radeon 9600XT card. Before this my Geforce was able to put my Viewsonic GF775 monitor into powersave mode with not problem. However, my Radeon will put the monitor into standby mode only (screen displays "Check Signal Cable and the LED remains Green). I have all the latest drivers and ATI tech support is nonexistent. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am running a KVM switch with my spare computer containing my Geforce 3 and is able to put my monitor into powersave mode (screen blank and LED yellow).

Thanks,

did you check in the display properties under the screen saver tab to make sure that powersave mode is selected? i don't think it's the video card thats the problem, something might have just gotten change when you made the switch between cards is all.

try that and see if it works.

Yes, I disabled and reenabled the powersave mode and it still will not put my monitor into powersave mode.

i think normally after that "signal" screen comes on, the monitor will turn off after a few seconds anyhow, thats how mine does anyway.

other than what i already suggested i can't really think of anything else.
