Posted about a trojan: js/medfos.b elsewhere. Now just found out my firewall Cannot be tured on.

Have a persistent Trojan: js/medfos.b....asked about it on another post. Now have discovered that my Microsoft firewall has somehow been disabled and I cannot turn it on... How do I get my machine's firewall working again?
