The "policies" folder located in the c:\winnt\sysvol\domain folder has grown
to 466mb. While browing through this folder I see over 1700 folders with
really long names. Inside of these folders are files named "inetres.adm" and
"system.adm" . Some of these files date back to 2002. Can any of these files
be deleted?

Hello,
theses adm files are the one used to make the GPO. You wouldn't remove them.
You should better search for real big files, someone would have made a GPO
to publish office or software, and their setup files are taking room.
