I am on a laptop so I usually use the touch pad however I have started to
need to use the mouse for various things but when I plug a plug and play
mouse (Microsoft's Basic Optical Mouse) in it won't automatically work. It
then asks me to add new hardware which I click and go through, it then starts
installing files from the Windows folder but stops saying that the data is
invalid. The mouse works on other computers and even works before I start
windows (in PC angel's system recovery). I have tried updating Windows, have
done many searches on Google for people who have the same problem but nothing
works.
