My daughter's university course requires her to work with a dvd which
has files in PDF format and within them there are embedded quicktime
media files.
Problem is that only the audio works - there is no video.
We have tried the dvd on 2 machines that run XP pro and the video
works on both of them.
I have tried several old versions of quicktime, adobe reader, flash
but without success. Currently the newest versions are installed.
I went to the device manager to try and update the display driver but
it's already up to date.
I know quicktime itself works because I can go to the apple/ movie
trailers page and watch a trailer in quicktime with both audio and
video working.
I've set the multimedia player preference in Reader to use QT as the
media player.
I've tried having both Firefox and IE as the default browser (when you
auto run the dvd it opens a browser)
I've also copied the files to the desktop and tried to open them from
there.
No help from the course tech support - can anyone point to any issues
I've left out?
Thanks
Frank
