How can I play mp4 and avi file in Windows Vista Media Center. I am running
Vista Premium.

I can see AVIs in the library, but can't play them. I can't even see the MP4
files in the library. Both play with media center.

Thanks for the help.

there is a vista codec pack that is swimming around in the internet..

I normally say NO to codec packs.. but media center is the only reason I
would tell someone to install it..

see here:

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

if you are NOT using media center kiss all the codec problems bye bye and
install and use
the www.gomplayer.com that has all codecs built in and is FANTASTIC!

Thanks. I assume standard edition? will this allow the mp4s to appear in the
WMC library?
