Does anyone use PicLens? If so, is there a way to stop their website opening
up every time I start Internet Explorer? It's a tad annoying. If you haven't
tried it, check it out at
http://www.piclens.com/welcome/ie-welcome_16.php?v=1.6.4.3021 Just be aware
that after you install it, when you start IE your homepage will open as well
as the PicLens website unless someone can find a way to stop it. I have
emailed them to ask if this is possible but have not heard back from
them.......yet.

Cheers.

I've been using it for a few months, as I do a lot of image searches for
architecture. If it has somehow made piclens.com the your homepage, you can
easily delete that. It has not done that on my XP machines.

I found that Piclens does crash IE7 sometimes, so I disabled it. There
seems to be a new version now, so I'll try that out. Hopefully it is more
stable.

Tools - Internet Options - General - choose what you want your home
page to be.

I have used Piclens and find it fun once in awhile. I installed it only on
Firefox where it does not exhibit that annoying behavior. Then again, with
IE7, just right-click on IE or click on tools with it open and go to
Internet Options. You can then remove it as a home page.

It's not down as my homepage. When I click on IE my homepage opens up as
normal but then the PicLens site opens as well in a second window. It's not
a huge problem it's just a bit annoying.

Cheers.

It seems you can only input websites to allow rather then block. Not so much
a pop up blocker, more like a pop up allower.

Keep the ideas coming.

Hey Si, and all! I'm Meg, and I'm a member of the Cooliris Team.
Specifically I'm in charge of user support, so I couldn't overlook your
post!

I'm so sorry you've been experiencing this problem with our IE version
of PicLens - I know how worrisome it can be when add-ons start
misbehaving on you, much less apparently hijacking your browser and
opening new tabs! We've been working like crazy people to fix this bug.
I'm happy to tell you we have an internal build right now that will
absolutely work perfectly for you. I can't post the link here (since
it's still internal), but I'd be happy to let you in on our development
process to get this bug fixed and PicLens working for you.

Please email me at feedback@piclens.com if you want a link to the
build. And also for any questions or concerns you may have in the
future, I'd be happy to field them there as well! I hope to hear from
you soon!

Meg & The Cooliris Team

Hey Meg,

Thanks for taking the time to try and help with this problem. I have, in
fact, already sent an email to the address you gave on 8th June. However,
just to know that you guys are aware of the problem and are trying to fix it
is enough for me so there is no need for a reply. I have your website
bookmarked and will check it regularly for new builds.

Thanks once again for replying and thanks to the Cooliris team for an
amazing add-on.

Cheers.

Si
