Click "Insert", "Picture". To resize, click one of the corner pointers
and slide in-out.

You may find better explanations on Word or MS Office newsgroups.

Click in the location where you want the picture.
Go to the Menu and choose Insert - Picture- from file.
Locate the picture file and choose Insert.
Once the picture is there, right click on the picture and choose format - layout - tight wrap.
Now the text will wrap around the picture.
Next click on the picture and put your mouse on one of the corner dots - drag the picture to the
size you want.

Tip: Dragging the photo size does not change the "byte" size of the picture, A 1 megabyte picture
still adds 1 megabyte to your word file. Best to use a photo editing program to reduce the size
of the picture first and make a copy for your document.
Irfanview is a good (and free) program to do this. Download from www.irfanview.com.
