I bought a logitech webcam and tried to install the software, all went OK
until it instructed me to plug in the USB cable. When I did that I got a msg
saying, "The file USBAUDIO.sys on windows XP professional service pack 2 CD
is needed. Type the path where the file is located and then click OK. It
goes on to say, Copy files from: C:widnows\options\install\i383. I returned
the webcam, bought a Phillips and tried to install but get the same msg. Pls
help. I have installed the service pack 2 but don't have the cd.

Just Google "usbaudio.sys" and you'll find about 14,000 answers.

It's just my opinion but if I were you, I'd exchange the Philips cam for the
Logitech one you had before. I have a Philips SPC900NC now and it is a piece of
garbage. Their drivers are full of bugs and are never updated. They advertise that
it will do 90 FPS, but it actually defaults back to only 15 FPS. The 'Philips
Vlounge' program is also very buggy and has never been updated. Their tech support
is the worst I've ever encountered - even worse than Gigabyte's, which is very bad.
I literally had to explain to them how their own camera works, how to install it and
when I read their own advertisement claiming that the cam would capture at 90 FPS,
they were astounded and simply ignored the info. Logitech may not have the best tech
support or the best hardware but their stuff always works as advertised.

Good luck and Happy Holidays!
