Windows 2000 Perflib Event ID 1008

Since I have started using ISCSI Initiator, I am getting

The Open Procedure for service "PerfDisk" in DLL IN
"C:\winnt\system32\perfdisk.dll" failed. Performance data for this service
will not be available.

How do I fix this?

The diskperf counter is not enabled, if you want to do Performance
monitoring on the disk it has to be enabled and the computer has to be
rebooted. If you don't want to do perfermance monitoting on the disk
turn off the counter.

Counters can be disabled via registry edits or with the Extensible
Performance Counter List (exctrlst.exe) tool:
