Trying to trouble shoot a PC that slows down after a couple hours.
P4 3.2ghz 1 gb ram 80gb HD.
PC is on network at a business. Boot up computer and log on. Everythig
works OK, at least for a few hours. Initially we can access files on the
server with no problem. After a few hours when we try to open the files it
takes more than a few minutes just to open a file. Sometime we loose the
association with an icon. Click on the icon, up comes the file searching
icon (the micorsoft flashlight scrolling back and forth) and it can't find
the file.
So we reboot and evething works. Few hours later same thing.
Can anybody give me a clue as to where to look for a reason for this. We
thought maybe it was the google desktop we installed. It indexed the
computer and all it's mapped drives. Made it easy to find the files we
needed on server. Uninstalled that, No help. Not really sure where to
start....
Have run antivirus and adaware, Find no problems....
Thanks
Mike
