Hi all,

I'm getting BSoD's also - usually event 11 "... \Device\Harddisk0\D".
Can somebody help me parse the ...0\D part. What does the 'D' mean?

"D" usually means the fourth partition that is found in HardDisk0. It
is probably Drive F of the Master HD on the primary IDE controller.

Thanks, Ghostrider,

for your reply; yet I don't know. My hard drive has only one partition,
which contains the OP XPsp2. I do have other drives, including F, but they
are 'card readers' on USB.

What I find infuriating is that this particular designation can not be
found anywhere. Not in the system - like resources - and not even in
Microsoft support structure. They just 'convert' it to %1 ... as if that
explains everything
