I've posted about this before but still haven't cured the problem.

Often, when I click on a link in e-mail, I'll get the Page Not Displayed
notice. Then, when I leave that site and return to it, the link will
often open. It's doing this more and more and is pretty annoying.
Does anyone have a suggestion, please?

Thanks, TaurArian. Can you believe - I cannot open either of the links
you supplied - get that Page Not Displayed message on both of them.
I'll hand-type them in.

Can you get to this page?
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/community/columns/ietopten.mspx

Open IE, copy and paste the URL rather than trying to go there from OE.

Yes, I've tried that many times since I've been having the problem.
Something screwy is going on with the computer, I've decided, since when
I clear the Address bar in IE, then copy and paste the URL, all that
comes up is the URL I just cleared in the Address bar. I have to
hand-type it in.

I was able to finally open the links you provided. As I said,
sometimes when I return to them they open up OK. I followed the
instructions in KB823301 but things are still the same. There was one
command (regsvr32 msjava.dll) where I get the message,
"LoadLibrary("msjava.dll") failed - The specified module could not be
found." Maybe that's the culprit - I wouldn't know since I'm not
technical.

Thanks for your patience in helping me.

All great information - thanks. Per your suggestion, I've posted to the
IE newsgroup. Incidentally, I have once again used AdAware and Spybot,
with nothing exciting turning up and no change in the problem. I also
find I can't change my home page. PITA.
