Been having trouble opening Outlook lately, if PC is left on for prolonged
period, without having to restart Windows (XP Home). Today the Outlook icon
has disappeared from the desktop replaced by a white icon that looks like a
sheet of paper. When I open properties under the shortcut tab I get the
message "this is not a valid shortcut". I cannot find Outlook anywhere,
either in Start/All Programs, or Documents and Settings/user/Desktop (here I
get the same white icon). Unfortunately the system restore on this PC has
been shut off for some time, so I can't go back to a restore point here. Any
ideas what may have happened? And how can I recover Outlook. This is my
parents PC and they bought it refurbished from someone who's conveniently
gone out of business.
Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.
