outlook.com on Surface 2 reloads entire inbox

The Mail program on my new Surface 2 keeps reloading my entire inbox, which takes ages. It even interrupts itself to restart. While it does so I can't get anything done, since it loads the oldest first.


Why is it doing this, when it already has the emails? More importantly, how can I fix it?
