Says who? Do you have a link to a legitimate news source?

Re: Wal-Mart Ends Test of Linux in Stores

Strange, for selling so many, i went to walmart com and searched for them
and nothing. Seems strange i cant find a big seller like that. My Vista is
doing just fine.

Didn't look very hard? It's there: Drop-down menu> Computers> Desktops >
Desktops Without Monitors (199.00)

They themselves stated that they would continue selling them online. How
long that keeps going is any body's guess. I ran the gOS in a VM on my
Vista machine and while it ran with no problems, I didn't like it much.
I think Everex could have done better than that IMHO. PCLOS or something.

Anyway, I keep reading posts around, that claim it isn't offered period,
which is plain not true. More BS and FUD from Winders Zealots I suspect?
I am neither a Linux nor Winders Zealot. I use what works for me and
take advantage of the best of both worlds. No reason to fight about it,
sheesh.

Cheers

More spin... OK, you didn't bring up Wal-Mart... but you for sure brought up
Best Buy. Yet there are no BB's in Spain. Explain your train of thought...

OK...

quote: "Now he's going to tell us what isn't selling well at Best Buy."

So... again, explain your train of thought... (Hoping, beyond hope, that
repitition of the question will illicit a relevant response, instead of more
spin.)

If desktop nix ain't selling in the retail channel, it ain't selling. Your
attempt to spin it off is irrelevant to the root issue. Which is: the sh*t
ain't selling in retail. (And, no... I'm not calling nix sh*t... u want to
run it fine... just don't try to jam it down others throats in a forum not
intended for OS politics, regardless of your skewed slant on the purpose of
this forum.)

Wow... that's... just... amazing! You fanfared Wal-Mart selling nix boxes
and then, when they cease, you flip-flop to "Wal-Mart? Who cares?" LOL!

No, the fact that Wal-Mart is offering Linux machines only indicates
that Linux is becoming more popular. It does not indicate that buying a
computer, of any kind, from Wal-Mart being a good idea. I don't think
buying an OEM machine from the likes of Dell or HP is a good idea either.
