- Something to think about:

Researchers at the University of Antwerp in Belgium have created a new
supercomputer with standard gaming hardware. The system uses four
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics cards, costs less than €4,000 to
build, and delivers roughly the same performance as a supercomputer
cluster consisting of hundreds of PCs.

The guys explain that 8 GPU's get the same performance as 300 Intel
Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz processors

Cost is 4,000 Euros.

The article is misleading in that is makes reference to how fast
graphics are drawn/calculated and not raw computing power which
so-called super computers are intended for, ie crunching numbers, not
just moving/calculating the position of pixels on screen.
