My genuine copy of Windows XP has been running for years on the same laptop. A message has now been showing for a couple of days, stating I am a victim of software counterfeiting. I have original software package, including CD and license seal with me.
What should I do? My laptop and Windows XP are still good enough for my home, personal use.
Is this some sort of hoax, some sort of bait for me to download and install fake updates, for example?
I would appreciate suggestions and instructions on how to resolve the problem.
