Unfortunately, they only way they got IE working again was by formatting and
reinstalling Windows. Such are the risks when installing any beta software.
No McAfee application has been supported in either of the released IE8 beta
builds. (Actually, the McAfee application itself works fine in IE8 Beta,
it's just that some of the McAfee UI doesn't display correctly.)
The fact that you had a McAfee application installed did NOT cause the
problem, however The fact that the McAfee application was running in the
background when IE8 Beta was installed and/or uninstalled did.

IE6? If so, do I delete ALL IE files even if not marked IE7 (including the
hidden ones) or just what I can find in the normal view?
