Hi Everyone!

I have a (rather, quite a few questions) to ask.

Firstly, I have installed a sound card (that accepts 1 digital and 1 analogue audio input both at once). I've got front_audio installed using the motherboard's onboard audio system. Does this mean that my front_audio set won't give me any sound because all sound is going through my sound card?

Secondly, I've got a CD-RW and a DVD-ROM installed. Does this mean that one has to use digital while the other one has to use analogue?

Also, with the analogue 4-pin cables, is one of the wires actually meant to be missing (i.e. 4 connectors, 4 pins, but 1 connector leads to no where)?

Thanks in advance!!
 :)

I think that generally you can only have one sound system activated at a time under windows (you can select the playback sound system in the control panel, multimedia settings, I think).

As for the CD drive audio connectors, if the sound card can only take 1 digital and 1 analog input, you'll have to split them up appropriately. Just put the digital to the drive that's going to be playing audio CDs the most (I think that the drive audio connector only comes into play when you use the play button on the drive, anyway)

And yes, there is normally a wire missing from analog CD audio cable, and no, I don't know why :)
