Windows Media Player will not open. I keep getting a window telling me to
validate my copy of Windows. I do this, and have gone through all the
diagnotic tests and each time I get a message saying both Windows and/or
Office are Validated. Yet, I can't get a simple program like Media Player to
open and run. What's up with this?

Windows Media Player is anything but simple. Instead use Media Player Classic
which does not connect with the Internet and give Microsoft and the world
access to your computer.
