Windows 2000 "Open with" in Explorer is gone

Steve Gage

The "open with" option when right clicking on a file has gone missing. I
like to use that functionality from time to time, and would like to restore
it. Can anyone tell me how?

Kelly's Reg fixes should fix this.

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/chooseprogramrestore.reg

Kelly's site deals with mostly with Windows XP issues, you shouldn't
apply fixes there to Windows 2000 without first doing some research.
The above registry fixes also apply to Windows 2000, try them and see if
if cures the problem.
