Now many say oh Open Office its a bit slow ... installed as default yes it is but it can be speeded up >

Open Writer and Click Tools Tab and at the bottom of the small window that opens Click Options

In the next window that opens Click Memory then on the left you will see you can allocate Memory to open the application (default is 20) - Note you need to have the Memory / RAM to allocate

The best thing about Open Office is that its free :D
