On start up, after logging on my user, it takes most of 30 minutes to display the desktop.

A dreaded solid blue screen is shown forever. Why? What can I do to speed up start up and is that the real issue?

Windows XP Pro version 2002 service pack 3

Dell Vostro 1510

223 gb hard drive
169 gb free space
