Greetings !
I have recently got broadband, and all seems to be working fine at last
(though slow!)

However, there is juust one niggle, with Outlook Express:

When I fetch & send mail at the start of the day, everything works fine,
mail is fetched and sent through all the addresses we use.

However, if I then write a reply, through one of my old addresses, and try
to send it (even an hour later), I am asked for the password for that
account, and even when I give it, I am asked again, and again.

If I change the "sender" to the Broadband account, it goes off OK.

Is the old account still active? If not, you can't send through their
servers.

Thank you for your response.

Everything works fine to begin with - both sending and receiving mail
through all addresses.

However, after that, I can only receive mail through the old addresses, not
send.

Until the next day !

Hello,

Most ISP mail servers forbid sending mail from an ISP that it not under
them, so it will not work if you use another ISP network. Your old account
may be using an ISP that is different with your broadband account. This
policy is for anti-spam reasons.

To work around this, you can use SMTP authentication, which your ISP may
provide. Call your old ISP for help with regards to this matter.
