Nvidia Withdraws 196.75 WHQL Drivers

For those who have already updated to the latest WHQL 196.75 Nvidia drivers,

please revert to your previous set. Nvidia have withdrawn them because of

overheating/fan issues.

Thanks Peter. Pure luck I stumbled upon this. Got an expensive NV card

that could have been fried. I hope Nvidia is getting in contact with its

users about this issue.

They're not contacting people. It's up to the user to keep updated.

With so many companies using nVidia GPUs, there's no way for

nVidia to know all the people who use their products. It's the same with

ATI. I owned an ATI-powered graphics card and found out about problems

just by reading the newsgroups. ATI never contacted me. Now I own

an nVidia GTX 275 and nVidia hasn't contacted me or anyone else I know

who owns and nVidia-based card.
