This occurs randomly. ipconfig /renew * or restarting the dns client services
fixes the problem temporarily.
I also want to mention that the hostname is not in the local domain. It is
"admin" not "admin.production.domain". "production.domain" is setup in the
dns prefix in group policy.
So the problem may actually be with Group Policies.
