Both a USB and a PS2 keyboard's input will not work on this XP system. A slight "dink" sound can be heard when depressing a key. When booting via Bart's PE either of the keyboards will work. I don't know what system file needs to be replace. I've replaced the keyboard driver with a newly downloaded/installed driver, after uninstalling the current driver. Mouse input does work.

Did you make sure the keyboard is fully plugged in and if it is are you sure the motherboard connection works?
