recently I downloaded all updates that microsoft recommended i download
security etc. about 100meg. now i find that my capability to download does
not work.
I say download and i get the little screen showing documents flying from the
world to the source, but nothing comes and i get a message saying error
occurred.
Also my videos dont play now. I get the screen but nothing seems to play.
I have a high spped connnection to ATT. Also I noticed my corel word
processing software does not open now but get error 'could not initialize'
can anyone help im probably missing a file to correct all this.
thanks
jerry

Impossible to say from the information you have. Since you made a large
number of changes it could be associated with any one or a number of them.

Use system restore to go back before you applied the updates. If things
work then install the updates one at a time testing after each one.

Why did you wait so long to do so many updates at once? It's best to make
changes one item at at time so you can assess the affects.

In the future consider using a drive imaging program to image the system to
an external hard drive. Then make an image of the working system before
making any significant changes. This way you can recover the system quickly
and easily to a previous working state if the changes don't work out.
