Don

I have XP MCE with latest fixes.
Yesterday, I decided to remove those installed programs I didn't think
I needed.
This morning I booted my computer, and now IE hangs attempting to browse
anything on the Web. I have the same problem with FireFox and Safari. They
just hang.
I can get/send email OK and access newsgroups. But, none of my
browsers work.
I can't think of anything that I removed that would have caused a problem,
but obviously something has.
Any ideas out there as to what I may done and to get my browsers working?

Thanks.

I removed and re-installed IE7, now all my browsers work.

Please tell us which programs you removed and how you removed them.

Have you seen any error messages in Event Viewer?

Actually it's my friend's machine.
I just went to Intall/Remove programs, and from Windows Components
I removed then reinstalled IE7 and did a re-boot.
Then all worked. Not sure why though.
Nothing of note in Event Viewer.

System Restore, if enabled, may get your browsers working again, but I
have no idea as to what you may have done to get into this fix.
