You may need to star here:

http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Look..._query=+Pavilion+dv6327&submit.x=7&submit.y=9

Choose your appropriate model, then when redirected, choose your appropriate
operating system, then download the driver for audio. Avoid getting
optional driver updates from Windows Update, if one is available from your
computer or hardware manufacturer.

I have the same problem with my Pavilion DV1760BR. I have tried to install a
sound drive from HP site and from Windows Update, there is an icon and at
Control Panel the message is that the driver is OK, but I have no sound. HP
Technical Suport said that it can be a phisical failure. Does anyone have a
similar situation?

Thank you!

Try this after your sound driver is installed. Right-click the Volume icon,
and choose Playback Devices. On the Playback tab of Sound, right-click an
empty spot of the window, and put a checkmark next to "Show Disabled
Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices". From there, if Speakers shows up,
right-click the Speakers icon to enable.

Then Double-click the Speakers icon. On the Enhancements tab, put a check
next to "Disable all sound effects", then click Apply. On the Advanced tab,
click on Restore Defaults, and make sure both check-boxes, under Exclusive
Mode, do have a check mark. (Apply, OK).
