My husband was changing his account picture and noticed that it said "recommended" by standard account. Not knowing any better, he continued with changing our only admin account to standard. Now it is impossible to do anything productive on our PC. As it was a new computer, I never bothered to enable the hidden admin account.
I've read through several posts with similar problems, and each is usually directed to running safe mode as an admin. Unfortunately, since no admin is enabled, this option is unavailable for me. I also tried the cmd prompt way to activate, but, alas, access denied. I've suggested a system restore, however my husband refuses to lose any of his game data so I'm wondering if there is any work around. We've no working disk drive on this machine, and I'm uncertain where I could find a flash version of windows 8. (when installing, we borrowed a friends disk drive)
Windows 8 and I are not getting along swimmingly, to say the least.
