NFO file won't open with Wordpad

Every time I try I get a popup error message:

"C:\documents
Cannot find this file.
Please verify that the correct path and filename are given."

When I click ok, wordpad auto shuts down.

Now the nfo file I want to view is in c:\documents. I moved it to the
desktop and still go the exact same error message. I tried renaming it to a
txt file and it opens fine with wordpad.

I checked file types and it shows that nfo extension opens with wordpad.

Any ideas?

It will.
Hold down the SHIFT key, right-click on the *.nfo file, choose "open with"
and then choose "Wordpad" from the list.

P.S. - just because something has the extension .NFO does not mean it is
what *you* think it is.
