Got this new Microsoft Wireless optical 2000 keyboard & mouse, but the mouse
scrolling does not function!

I tried changing the settings for the middle wheel button. When I press and
hold that button it will do the function I choose. But the regular turning
the wheel does not respond!

I tried uninstalling several times all the pointing devices I had, and
installed this one again, but inteli point keep re-instaling itself when I
Windows starts. In Hardware both devices are showing without any conflict.

This is a new mouse, can I call or get any help from Microsoft or will I
need to return the set?

Thanks!

Did you install the "Intellipoint" & "Intellitype" drivers? They
should have came with the kit or you can try to download them from
Microsoft's hardware support web site.

yes, I did.

Spoke with Microsoft; they think the scroll button is just broken.

What are "they" going to do? They should replace your kit.
