Hi everyone,
I just registered as I have been requested by my company to do some work involving linux. I am a web developer with knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Ajax, PHP, MySQL, basic Java, Actionscript and basic VB. Just a bit of background on my knowledge..
I am seeking to create managed server solution that should run CentOS or similar linux that gives full remote(root) access to the system. Also to allow the installations applications, etc. We have 2 programs online are linux executables that need to be installed and run, in addition to the web pages, downloads and a program updater script. It should serve to host the downloads also.
Anyway, I have been reading up on CentOS and just Linux in general.
I was wondering if someone could give me some insight on good places to start learning best practices and possibly a little guidance.
