I have XP Pro, SR 2 and 3 all updates current. When I start up, there's a
new pop-up message from my sys tray that's something like: "Disconnect Epson
(scanner ..) from its current port, and then connect to another hub shown in
BOLD type (that is Generic USB Hub - [2 PORTs available]). What on earth is
this, and how do I find the "ports" or hubs? This just started, and I've
been using my scanner for 3 years, including with Kurzweil. I have adaptive
software for the blind on my system.

The most recent item I plugged into my CPU, was my Pentax Digital Camera to
download photos to SEE them in ZoomText.

Thank you very much.

I read a previous thread herein, and checked Device Manager - I check the
box indicated, and also noted "Enhanced Host Controller" is among the other
controllers.

BTW could this be related to downloading the SR 3 or whatever it was?

Baker's dozen thanks.
