I am trying to setup a Home Network of three computers two running Xp, one running Vista. Because the Work Group is the same on all three they appear to see one another.

On the Vista machine (desktop), when I click Network, I see both Xp machines, one a Dell D600 Laptop, the other a Dell Optiplex 760 Desktop.

The Vista machine can only share files with the Xp desktop. It sees the laptop but can not access it's files.

Also the Xp desktop sees Vista desktop and the Xp laptop, but can not access files of the Xp laptop.

So, neither Desktop can access the laptops files.

However the Xp laptop can access files of both the Vista and Xp desktops.

Here is what I think the problem is. But I don;t know how to fix it. The Laptop is the only one that I can not setup file sharing on. Because the Network Setup Wizard will not run. When I click it nothing happens. I have tried locating the Network Connection Startup Service, which was set on Automatic, and was Stopped. I tried to start it and got this, "Error 126 The Specified Module Could Not Be Found".

After Googling the Error Message, and followed some instructions that seemed to make sense about this Registry String, HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\%ServiceName%\. But searching for the last "%ServiceName%", I could not find. Neither on the Laptop or the Xp Desktop. I gave up and decided I would try your forum to find the answer.

Thanks.
