Event Type: Error
Event Source: Dhcp
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1002
Date: 7/13/2007
Time: 8:08:37 AM
Error message in Event Viewer says, " The IP address lease 10.84.180.6 for
the Network Card with network address 0013D36D544C has been denied by the
DHCP server 0.0.0.0 (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message)."

The notebook is connected to my LAN. I am exchanging files, how can the
network address be denied by DHCP. Cna I trace what triggered this?

Read this links:
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/network/evaluate/technol/tcpipfund/tcpipfund_ch06.mspx

Error Message: Invalid DHCP Lease
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310524

Your DHCP looks like operating in Unicast mod, you need to provide more info
for us to help, like how do you connect, what hardware involved, is there is
any new hardware or a new machine added.

Open a run command and type in:
services.msc click [OK]
On services make sure the DHCP is started Auto.
HTH.
