Does Netscape 2.0 news reader still exist somewhere, and would it run
under XP?

``Exist'' means some *.exe installer for it, I guess. Just running
the bare Netscape.exe off my win95 machine doesn't work.

You might find it somewhere, but "running" should be qualified with
"stable". I'm not sure why you would want this.

But Googling "netscape 2.0 archive" should help you find it. Say,
somewhere like...

Thanks. I like the 2.0 news reader. Look at the headers on this message.
If I retire this old machine, I'd like to take that one program over to XP.

Netscape 2.02 appears to work (mostly) on XP. It believes it's installing on
Windows NT. I only tried the news reader (not the mail or web browser).
